Weekly Meetings

At the start of meetings, each person shares what they have been working on, and what they are doing next. We also track progress in our Task/Team Scoreboard.

The WeVote political data team has the following small teams tackling a variety of tasks. All teams use our WeVote Admin Tools server to capture and prepare data for elections in all 50 states + DC.

Thursdays at 11am Pacific Time
(Noon Mountain, 1pm Central, 2pm Eastern)

Retrieves election data from one of our data partners. Processes that data and integrates incoming candidates with existing politicians already stored in WeVote database.

Mondays at 10am Pacific Time
(11am Mountain, Noon Central, 1pm Eastern)

Identifies regions which need special attention, or extra data collection, based on what is happening in the news. Special projects include adding likely candidates 4+ months out, categorizing endorsers, and corresponding with politicians.

Gathers political views and endorsements for candidates and voter initiatives. That data will be used to align candidates to political issues, such as Climate Change and Immigration Reform.

Identifies candidates that lack a photo, links, or other critical information. Finds and captures that information. Gathers political views and endorsements for candidates and voter initiatives (like the dedicated endorsement teams).
